Covering just 0.31 miles, this event has raised an impressive $71,000 over the years, helping feed thousands of children in need in the Redding community.
In 2024 alone, the event raised an incredible $20,000, and with your participation, 2025 can be an even bigger success. It’s a chance to make a real impact while having the time of your life!

A Hilarious Twist on Charity Runs
Chris Hall's Half K is not your typical charity event – it started as a playful response to what felt like the never-ending 5Ks happening in the area.
This hilarious, lighthearted alternative covers only 0.31 miles (1640 feet), encouraging participants to embrace the fun, not the fitness.
With donuts, beer or mimosas, live music, and an energetic decathlon featuring fun activity stations, it’s an unforgettable day of laughter and celebration. Plus, every participant gets a 1st place medal and a .31 oval sticker to proudly show off their "achievement."

Chris Hall’s Half K.
Known for his innovative spirit and deep community commitment, Chris has always thought outside the box, from his days at Shasta High School to graduating Magna Cum Laude at Azusa Pacific University.
He envisioned the Half K as a way to make a difference while having fun, and the event has quickly become a cherished tradition in Redding, combining donuts, beer, and laughter with a mission to support local children in need.
