Chris Hall’s Half K June 15th, 2024
Father’s Day Weekend

Forget silly ties and coffee mugs that dad will never use.  Buy him a ticket to Chris Hall’s Half K. Donuts, Beer, Cornhole, and other Sheningans.  That’s what dad really wants.

Do you want to be part of one of the most talked-about events Redding has ever seen?

Chris Hall’s Half K is sure to be so much fun and will probably sell out within hours.
The Half K is to sorta poke fun at the endless stream of 5k runs in town.  It’s good-spirited shenanigans that adults will enjoy. It’s all of the fun of a “fun run” without the worst part: the running.

Participants NOT RUN in a Half K (or .31 miles or 1640 feet). You and your friends will check in at 56 Quartz Hill in Redding, CA (Lake Redding Pavilion). Don’t forget to visit the mimosa station to get hydrated.

But .31 miles is a long way, so there is a refreshment station at the halfway point.  At the bridge, you will be refreshed with not just a water station, but complimentary donuts.  Now that you have all your energy reserves filled up, you’ll head back to the finish line.

At the completion of the Half K, all participants get a 1st place medal and are greeted with a complimentary beer or mimiosa. Racers will also get an amazingly smug .31 oval sticker for your car.

This year, we’re adding a decathlon with lots of fun activity stations that will live up to the Chris Hall Half K name.  There will also be beer and food vendors available for purchase as well as 80’s music for those that want to hang out.

And, yes sir (or ma’am), do we have a great charity.  All of the proceeds go to Redding Sundial Kiwanis (Food For Kids Backpack Program)

Even if you can’t be there, consider our Virtual Participant, where we send you all the SWAG and you can tell everyone you were there!

Chris Hall, Event Creator and Chief Bottle Washer
Chris Hall Edward Jones Financial Advisor in Redding CA Chris Hall was born and raised in Redding, CA and has a real heart for his community.  Although Chris has competed athletically and kept fitness a priority, he has never had any desire to do a 5k run.  When he heard about the idea for a Half K, he immediately fell in love with the idea.  Chris spends countless hours in his community, thinking of fun and new ideas for charitable endeavors.  He is no stranger to fundraising. He once owned a company that put on alumni football games.  Through the 5 years of doing that, he was able to help schools and charities raise well over $400,000.  His goal is for this event to beat that event over the next 5 years.  Help Chris spread the word.  We’ve got a lot of great charities we’re working with. When not fundraising, Chris spends his time helping in other ways.  He is a full-time financial advisor in Redding, CA, and also coaches many local youth sports.
